Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Spaceport Planner for employment in Titusville/Melbourne, FL. We are seeking a professional planner who can be a role model, who is client-focused, impactful, and decisive.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing various planning studies (master plans, system plans, and spaceport/airport development studies), planning support, computer-aided drafting (AutoCAD), GIS analyses compiling design data, developing cost estimates, and other assignments as needed to meet the needs of our clients, and with minimal supervision
- Reviews or assists in the review of development proposals and site plans for conformance with codes, plans and regulations.
- Prepares and presents detailed reports on development proposals to government bodies.
- Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, transportation tax base data and occupancy rates.
- Assists in evaluating re-zonings, ordinance amendments, site plans, special use permits, variances and other proposals.
- Coordinates community review of public and private development projects.
- Provides information to the public regarding development regulations.
- Assists in resolving citizen and customer issues.
- Under direct supervision, conducts field evaluations and assessments.
- Support project managers in producing project documents, scope and fees, reports, graphics, 3D modeling, and materials for community outreach.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Planning, Urban Planning, Aviation Management or related field
- 2-years' experience preparing various planning components associated with airports, spaceports, NASA, FDOT or United States Air/Space Force.
- Experience and knowledge with word processing and spreadsheet computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications.
Preferred:
- Experience with ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
- Experience working on planning projects associated with Federal Aviation Administration, FL Department of Transportation, DoD/military Aviation Planning Experience (interpreting UFC documents, facility master planning, DD Form 1391 preparation, charrette/workshop participation)
- Experience working with project teams, clients, vendors, and contractors.

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $56,000 to $85,000.
