Overview:
The motor Transportation Operators are primarily responsible for supervising or operating wheel vehicles to transport personnel and cargo. They are the backbone of the Army's support and sustainment structure, providing advanced mobility.
Job Duties:
- Operate all-wheel vehicles and equipment over varied terrain and roadways.
- Manage load, unload, and safety of personnel being transported.
Some of the skills you’ll learn are:
- Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers.
- Identify, correct or report all vehicle deficiencies.
- Prepare vehicle for movement/shipment by air, rail or vessel.
Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen or I-551 cardholder.
- Must be between the age of 17-34.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a criminal background check with no open law violations.
- Must pass a drug screen.
- No felony.
- Must currently be in good health with no physical limitations.
Compensation:
Total compensation includes housing, medical, food, special pay, and vacation time.
