SUMMARY: The individual will be responsible to plan, direct, and coordinate the trip assignment, dispatching and arrangement of transportation to include QRV vehicles. Areas of coordination and oversight include dispatching, routing, public transit, volunteer driver and gas reimbursement program administration. Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan, organize, and manage the work of Dispatch, Routing, PT, GR, SSR trip assignment, and VD staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner that results in the efficient distribution of trips to maximize efficiencies to the providers as well as be consistent with Southeastrans and Client requirements and protocols and controls costs.
- Monitor and approve trip cost (i.e. special rates, provider assignments, etc.) consistent with established approval processes and KPI goals.
- Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and standing order assignment. Work with provider relations as relates to tracking transportation provider performance of scheduled trip assignments.
- Along with provider relations manage investigations to verify and resolve Client complaints for
transportation-related issues. - Assures that transportation personnel are effectively performing functions between the internal departments and customers by monitoring requests for transportation and by assuring appropriate prioritizing of trip assignments and dispatching of requests are followed.
- Resolves customer transportation-related problems by evaluating situations with QA and, determining proper action needed for customer satisfaction, and consulting with management about situations with significant financial impact.
- Evaluate department processes. Recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process improvement analysis.
- Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation.
- Approve overtime and hours worked for direct reports and QRV drivers
- Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
- Develop and report relevant provider metrics to include on-time performance, # of trips and unit/per mile cost as well as OT $, etc. on an as-needed basis to leadership
- Responsible to meet department productivity and quality goals.
- Communicate with other Supervisors and Managers.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Two or more years of medical or non-emergency transportation/dispatch experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills; strong leadership skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience in negotiation tactics and strategies
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated ability to assess individual and departmental needs and execute effective strategies to address those needs
- Strong organizational skills, including time management and documentation
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor’s Degree or NEMT experience preferred
