This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United Stated Coast Guard (USCG), Base Seattle, Personnel Services Division in Seattle, WA.
Qualifications:You qualify at the GS-08 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 or equivalent performing duties such as:
- Auditing and validating all monthly and quarterly billing payments for household good shipment and non-temporary storage shipment to ensure that all transactions during the period are reflected and accurately entered.
- Reviewing, monitoring, and reconciling any discrepancies and updating all computer-based data to ensure timely submission of invoices and control record of transaction.
- Utilizing the Defense Personnel Properties System (DPS) to approve invoices and generate an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
- Determining mode and method of transportation based on weight of shipment, destination, and type of shipment.
- Planning, booking, routing personal property, estimating cost savings, time involved, time of arrival, storage and transit involved, and purposes.
- Maintaining Continuity of Operations (COOP) Procedures.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
