Job Overview:
The Transportation and Technician Specialist assumes the crucial role of ensuring the secure and streamlined delivery of full-size copiers and printers to clients’ designated locations. This role will undergo training on Sharp copiers and HP printers upon hire, enabling the specialist to become proficient with setting up and fixing these devices.
The ideal candidate should be tech-savvy, comfortable with urban driving, and maintain a professional demeanor while representing the company. This role reports to the Logistics and customer success Lead.
Responsibilities:
1. Safe and Timely Delivery:
- Safely transport full-size copiers and printers to clients' locations within designated timeframes.
- Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
2. Basic Technical Support:
- Assist clients with the initial setup of Sharp Copiers and HP printers, including basic configuration and connectivity.
- Diagnose and provide basic troubleshooting support for copiers and printers during delivery, if needed.
3. Tech-Savvy Expertise:
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends in the copier and printer industry.
- Be familiar with the functionality and features of Sharp Copiers and HP printers.
4. Urban Driving:
- Safely operate oversized vans in urban areas, displaying confidence and skill in navigating through traffic and congested streets.
5. Professionalism and Customer Interaction:
- Present a professional image and uphold the company's values and reputation.
- Interact with clients in a courteous and helpful manner during deliveries and setup.
6. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs, including time of delivery, recipient's signature, and any additional notes.
7. Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license within the state of employment with a clean driving record and consent to recurring motor vehicle reporting throughout employment
- Comfortable driving extended long vans, especially in urban areas.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service, professionalism in both appearance and expression, and interpersonal skills.
Ideal Candidate:
- Mechanical and electrical mindset
- Basic knowledge of Sharp copiers and HP printers, though not required - Training will be provided
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Tech-savvy
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 75 pounds by hand or 500 pounds with a dolly, including full-size copiers and printers.
- Physically fit and able to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and carrying.
