```Duties```
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities for efficient and timely delivery of goods
- Plan and optimize routes to ensure on-time deliveries
- Monitor and track shipments using GPS and transportation management systems
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and suppliers to provide updates on delivery status
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation process
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including driver logs and delivery documentation
- Collaborate with other departments such as shipping/receiving and logistics to ensure smooth operations
```Qualifications```
- Previous experience in transportation planning, supply chain, or fleet management preferred
- Knowledge of freight industry and logistics operations
- Familiarity with GPS systems and transportation management systems (TMS)
- Proficiency in AS400 or similar software for tracking and managing shipments
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and suppliers
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in record keeping and scheduling
- Experience in shipping/receiving or working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers is a plus
