As the Transit andRail Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety (RAMS) Engineer, you'll have the chance to be part of a team that performs and leads project level and technical review tasks for a range of rail systems. Working with other members of our team, you'll be responsible for leading and conducting detailed reviews of complex analyses and processes to deliver complex projects. During your time with us, you will also have the opportunity to move between high level overview / objectives of tasks and focus on details of functional area, interact daily with multiple levels of clients, and provide a clear understanding / or capability of appreciating User requirement context for transit projects - including Operations, Maintenance, Training, Testing and Commissioning. Typical salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000- and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Minimum of six years of post-graduate experience with engineering projects
Minimum six years of experience with specific system safety experience on a range of transit or other multi-functional projects
Experience with safety documentation preparation and review, detailed safety studies (FTA, FMEA, Hazard Identification, etc.), quantified risk assessment, safety audits and safety management system oversight.
Experience with reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) documentation review and preparation, development and management of FRACAS, detailed RAM studies or analysis (prediction, FMECA, FTA, reliability growth, etc.).
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Professional Engineering License / Safety / RAM Accreditation
Systems Integration / Engineering Qualifications/ Requirements Analysis
Project Management accreditation
Additional skills in fire protection (modeling and systems safety analysis) will be an advantage
