The Training Specialist will coach course participants to become confident behavior technicians who excel in a therapy delivery setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide an experienced, clinical view of Behavior Technician training material so trainees remember concepts and understand how to apply the material.
- Help trainees work through their training modules in a timely manner, understand the concepts covered in the course, encourage participants, and report progress through the course
- Conduct live therapy preparation trainings in the virtual session and report progress within
- Answer and follow up with participant updates and questions on 1:1 basis, via email, telephone, video conferencing
- Provide oversight as an assistant assessor in completion of competency assessments
- Assist trainees in 1:1 meetings, signing up for certifications and registrations after completion of training
- Provide coaching to participants to reduce amount of “retries” needed to get through the quizzes and course modules
- Get trainees connected and comfortable with our training systems. Provide any tech support guidance.
- Assists the course instructor with gathering data and other administrative items, including creating and adding content to the online classroom.
- Available to do daily quiz reviews, 1:1 appointments, and study guide reviewsHelp track Monday board parental information and cross reference to make sure they are being tracked both with CRI and Google Classroom.
COMPETENCIES:
- Strong working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and experience implementing ABA with multiple clients.
- Mastery of the 40 hour BT training course
- Ability to understand and explain state and insurance certification and licensing requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a remote capacity
- Teacher demeanor
- Ability to understand participant questions and break down concepts in a way that participants can remember, understand and apply.
- Ability to provide high quality virtual coaching in a 1 on 1 and group settings.
- Work effectively on multiple projects and platforms simultaneously
- Assist trainees to get into platforms and assist with basic technology questions from parents
- Ability to work 9-5pm PST
