Job Description
Responsible for the design, development, and execution/facilitation of both instructor-led and online training for Sales Team Members. Supports the overall Sales Integration Trade Community team by assisting with project management, workflows, and collaborative development of learning experiences. Leads the way in developing, executing and/or facilitating content to prepare the Sales Team and their sales partners.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Researches, designs, develops, and maintains internal sales team training programs and materials. This includes both face-to-face learning materials and eLearning courses, modules, and learning paths. Additional material types that will require development include powerpoints, fact sheets, infographics, video scripts, job aides, facilitators guides, SOPs, Articulate Storyline courses, and Articulate RISE courses. Prepares our sales teams through the creation and delivery of effective training sessions and materials.
- Facilitates internal sales training programs, both virtually and in-person. These training sessions will primarily focus on Client, the Sales Process, Sales tools, and enhancing the sales and account management skillset of our Sales Team Members. Provides training and follow-up support for: new initiatives and products, system enhancements, and best practices/efficiencies to internal team members
- Fosters positive partnership between Sales Integration and all other Sales Teams by ensuring the training needs of our Sales teams are understood, documented, and actioned upon. This includes conducting needs analysis on development needs and learning gaps, attending team meetings to encourage retention of learning, hosting 1:1 training sessions with Sales team members, and soliciting feedback on Sales Integration sales programs, courses, and training sessions.. Also partners effectively with all other internal and external partners/vendors, as needed.
- Assists in the development and project management of Trade Training materials, including developing eLearning courses and managing the internal review and approval process with brand, legal, and licensed partners.
- Manages, executes and maintains, the following operational systems scope (Learning Management System):managing panoramas, uploading curriculum, developing, maintaining and updating course catalogue, notifications, training profiles and assessments; hierarchy development, designation, and enrollment of learners and learner groups; scheduling learning activities and programs; and administering certifications.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be comfortable and proficient in public speaking and facilitation
- Strong ability to teach and influence without direct positional authority
- Must be able to understand learning gaps, create learning objectives, and conduct needs analysis to make informed decisions on training development
- Must be proficient in project management, including: creating project timelines, managing multiple stakeholders, scheduling, and creating/adhering to task and project due dates
- Must be proficient in MS Word and PPT, and have a solid functional technical systems proficiency.
- Ability to create training materials, adhering to core design principles, and write training content
- High level of problem solving skills
- Comfort and confidence in dealing with various levels of the organization
- Experience using Articulate programs, or other eLearning software, preferred.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theories/principles, preferred
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required, in a related field preferred (Instructional Design, Training & Development, Sales & Marketing, Hospitality, Human Resources).
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5+ years in Marketing, Sales and/or Hospitality required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3+ years of facilitation required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3+ years of instructional design, multimedia design, and/or project management preferred.
