You will serve as a Training Specialist (Marine Machinery Mechanic) in the Production Resources Department of PSNS and IMF located at the San Diego detachment.

This program is designed to provide Department of Navy employees career growth opportunities who have potential but do not presently meet the Office of Personnel Management qualification requirements for this position. The entry level for this position is GS-07 with a full performance level of GS-11.
Knowledge of employees selected may vary and will require the development of an individually tailored training plan to assist them in qualifying for the full performance level of this position. Eligibility requires that the employee be performing satisfactorily, complete all training requirements, acquire the requisite qualifications and have met time-in-grade eligibility for career ladder promotions.
GS-07: This recruitment is open to applicants with GS-07 or WG-09 (or higher) equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to assist with developing training materials (e.g., course outline, course content, lesson plans, or exercises) and to assist with providing classroom training to develop workforce knowledge or skills within an organization.
