Founded in 1948 by John Pridgeon and Donald Clay, we are one of the largest independent, value-added manufacturers and suppliers of automotive stamped and fine-blanked components in the United States.

Objective: The Training Specialistdevelops and manages training and development programs, activities, materials, and resources across the organization to support the development of a higher performing workforce according to company safety and quality policies. This role supports internal and external training requirements and requests, including researching, applying for, and managing grant funding.

Qualified candidateswill possess the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (training/human resources or education field preferred)
  • Previous experience in a training role in a manufacturing environment including both classroom and floor environments, prior demonstrated experience to develop training programs and job aids for manufacturing positions
  • Ability to research and prepare training grant application submission or similar experience
  • Ability to create, develop, and manage eLearning content
  • Ability to maintain records in an LMS
  • Ability to research, prepare, and present various training materials and requirements
  • Possess strong presentation skills, effective communication skills (both verbal and written), strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete them with a high degree of detail
  • Exceptional professional attributes that include self-motivation, dependability, confidentiality, professionalism
  • Advanced knowledge/experience with Windows-based software, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness and ability to develop and enhance technical aptitude
  • An excellent work record, including attendance.

Outstanding candidates will possess the following Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with video production (shooting and editing videos)
  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline/Articulate 360) to develop interactive eLearning courses
  • Experience managing an LMS including managing users, uploading and managing content (SCORM, videos, documents), and basic reporting
  • Experience facilitating business process improvement and strategic planning
  • Experience writing training grants
  • Additional credentials and certifications, including Associate Professional in Training and Development (APTD), Certified Professional in Training and Development (CPTD), DiSC, Predictive Index, DDI, etc., will be considered
