Job Summary:
The Training Specialist is responsible for overall coordination of training programs, including development, implementation, management, delivery and assessment to maximize revenue goals and enhance staff development. Leverages technology, systems, and other resources to build and evolve sustainable training programs to support bank goals and objectives. Develops, creates and delivers training curriculums to support continuous employee development, and works with managers to reinforce the learning within the workplace. Leads, facilitates, and supports retail banking group training programs throughout the Banks. The Training Officer is a thought-leader who coordinates efforts in the development of short and long-term learning strategies by working collaboratively across the organization.

Job Responsibilities
- Identifies and monitors training needs in the organization, and presents learning solution recommendations to stakeholders in support of strategic initiatives based on observations, industry trends, regulatory requirements, and as a result of needs analysis.
- Organizes and delivers a wide range of training programs and meetings to prepare and equip employees to be successful in their roles.
- Designs and implements training programs. Provides individualized and group training in both in persona and virtual settings to meet bank needs.
- Responsible for updating existing training material; suggests enhancements and modifications to develop and enhance the training culture and ensure references remain updated and relevant.
- Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
- Coordinates and conducts system training to include new components, updates and upgrades. Leverages solid understanding of business processes and systems requirements.
- Leverages media and technology in innovative ways to enhance participant experience and transfer of knowledge and skills.
- Partners with subject matter experts and managers to help identify training needs, develops effective training material, content and programs.
- Maintains a consistent pulse of employee development trends, resources, and practices.
- Provides job related training to employees to improve proficiency in specific job duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5 years' experience in designing training programs/curricula; or 5 years' experience in retail banking management required.
- Training and development related certification preferred.
