Job Description:
The Oregon Military Department is a state agency that supports the Oregon National Guard. You are NOT required to be a member of the Oregon National Guard to apply for this position.
The Oregon Military Department is recruiting for a Training Site Manager (Business Operations Manager 2). This is a permanent full-time state position located at the Rees Training Center in Hermiston, Oregon.
This position is Management Service and is not represented by a union.

What You Will be Doing
The purpose of this position is to serve as the overall Training Site Manager responsible for all phases of administration, training, engineering, and logistical support rendered by the installation. This position works collaboratively with the Post Commander, but reports directly to the Installations Division Deputy Director, and in his absence, reports to the Installations Division Director.
The position requires direct supervision of 19 out of 85 full-time employees plus seasonal/temporary (State and Federal) employees and contracted civilians. The incumbent maintains indirect supervisor to supervisor coordination for the efforts of the remaining employees.
Working Conditions
Works in an office environment regularly exposed to sitting, and conducting computer and telephone operations. Must wear a hard hat in construction areas. May conduct inspections from roofs, ladders, and confined spaces. May be subject to loud noise and unsanitary work conditions, exposed to blowing dust. Works in inclement weather. Follows all safety standards, policies, and procedures.
What You Need to Qualify
Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience in:
a. Policy analysis, Development and implementation
b. Budgeting/Finance and
c. Information Systems
***OR***
A bachelor's degree in:
a. Construction, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Architecture
b. Business Management or Administration
c. Accounting or Finance
d. Computer Science or a related field
-AND-
Three years of related experience in:
a. Policy analysis, Development and implementation
b. Budgeting/Finance and
c. Information Systems
Please note that preference may be given to candidate that above listed experience is in a construction or maintenance related field.
Additional Requirements
This position requires the Training Site Manager to live within an approximate 15-mile radius of Rees Training Center and be on call 24 hours per day.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Conditions of Employment
The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DoD Confidential Security Clearance (T3). Duties and responsibilities include unescorted access to restricted areas that may contain classified equipment or materials up to secret level.
Employee is required to maintain a drug/alcohol free workplace in accordance with OMD Drug/Alcohol CPM's, Policies, and the Statewide Drug Free Workplace Policy 50-000-01.
