POSITION SUMMARY
Since the doors opened in 1972, this factory has grown dramatically into a sustainable state-of-the-art facility. In 2013, we completed our largest solar project yet by installing a 450-kilowatt photovoltaic system of nearly 1,900 panels. The amount of energy produced annually by this solar array could power nearly 52 average-sized homes, or approximately 5,000 lights bulbs for an entire year. With sustainability and safety always top of mind, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including Alpo®, Beneful®, Cat Chow®, Dog Chow®, Fit & Trim®, Friskies®, Nestlé Purina ONE® and Pro Plan®. This plant location is just along the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta – an area that nearly 5 million residents and over 340 of our associates can call home. Atlanta is considered the major commercial and financial center of the Southeast and, if this beautiful city were a country, it would be the 28th largest economy in the world.
As the Training Manager you will be an engaged member of our factory leadership team. You will be responsible for strategically implementing and improving technical competency development, leadership development, people engagement and implementation of world class learning systems and best practices throughout the entire facility, including Safety Training, Quality Training, Technical Training, Job Instructional Training, and Continuous Improvement Training based on Adult Learning Methodologies, NCE (Nestle Continuous Excellence) methodologies, and TPM (Total Performance Management) methodologies. This will include closely working with all departments to identify needs for training and improvement of current training. You will utilize digital platforms to improve competence and will maintain Job Instruction trainings. - Develop individualized and group learning programs that address specific business needs.
- Plan out online training calendar with links to training materials.
- Identify and assess the learning needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with Subject Matter Experts and Department Managers.
- Implement effective and purposeful training methods.
- Create curriculums to facilitate learning and development based on organizational goals.
- Maintain, develop, and coordinate supervisory and management development courses.
- Identifies key trainings in plant and conducts Train-the-Trainer classes as well as assist in the delivery of materials to the hourly and salaried workforce.
- Oversees onboarding program and New Hire training.
- Plan and manage factory training budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR Organizational Development, Training or related field
- 5+ years’ training experience within a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment.
- 1+ years of leadership experience within manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment.
The approximate pay range for this position is $115,000 to $135,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
