With two major professional teams, Orlando City and Orlando Pride, the Orlando City Soccer Club (OCSC) has established itself as one of the preeminent Clubs in professional soccer.
Orlando City joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the league's 21st franchise in November 2013, becoming the first MLS team in the Southeast. The Lions began league play in March 2015. In 2019, Orlando City re-launched Orlando City B (OCB) to bridge the gap between its successful youth development academy and the First Team.
The Orlando Pride, OCSC's National Women's Soccer League franchise, began play in 2016 - bringing professional women's soccer to Orlando for the first time.
Orlando City and Orlando Pride play at Exploria Stadium, a 25,500-seat soccer-specific stadium built in 2017 and located in the heart of Downtown Orlando.
With a footprint across the central Florida region and a roster comprised of international and home-grown talent, Orlando City and Orlando Pride boasts global relevance through its assemblage of world-class athletes.

Position Summary: The Grounds Supervisor, Sylvan is responsible for the full oversight and performance of field maintenance at the Orlando Health Training Grounds at Sylvan Lake Park.

Position Summary: The Grounds Supervisor, Sylvan is responsible for the full oversight and performance of field maintenance at the Orlando Health Training Grounds at Sylvan Lake Park.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance of 2 natural grass fields, including but not limited to mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, top-dressing, over-seeding, re-sodding, and line striping.
- Assist in developing the annual facility operating budget with the Head Groundskeeper-Training Facilities and the VP of Facilities & Operations and manage day-to-day operations to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of an effective fertility, fungicide, and pest control program for Sylvan Lake Park
- Lead the efforts for the research and procurement of equipment and supplies.
- Liaison with Seminole County to ensure field conditions are to team and NWSL standards.
- Work with the Director of Events to ensure all field conditions are met for third-party events and venue field rentals.
- Build effective and productive relationships within the organization, along with other employees, visitors, and staff.
- Create and maintain good working relationships with all NWSL coaches and soccer operations staff.
- Assist Head Groundskeeper-Exploria Stadium, as needed for third-party events or venue rentals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Turf Grass Science, Horticulture, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of grounds maintenance-related work experience in soccer
- Candidate should possess or have the ability to obtain the Florida Commercial Pesticide Applicator License.
- Ability to operate turf-related equipment (i.e., tractors, mowers, aerifiers, field paint machines).
- Candidate must have strong leadership, interpersonal, and supervisory skills.
- Possess excellent written/verbal communication skills, detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and adapt to change.
- Ability to resolve concerns expeditiously and independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Fluency in Spanish is desirable but not required.
- Experience with hosting field events including sporting and concerts, using various field protection systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time and in various weather conditions.
- May work in an outdoor setting as required.
- Ability to walk and stand for short periods of time.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
