JOB SUMMARY
This role is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the plant-wide training framework within their assigned operations area. Working with the Shift Production Leader(s) to ensure Associates are properly trained and resourced with necessary training materials. Responsible for ensuring training compliance with new and established procedures / work document(s). Good communication and time management skills are required as this person will conduct training, setup meetings, and coordinate training. This role will have strong project management skills and will work with various levels of leadership and department support roles to build effective and standardized programs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, develop and maintain consistent training documentation and materials.
- Supports the scheduling, coordination, and initiation of training in partnership with the Training Specialist and Technical Trainers.
- Identifies gaps in training, development, and re-certification. Responsible for the identification and implementation of solutions to training gaps, by utilizing training analysis.
- Actively evaluates, audits and improves training methodology (train the trainer). Trains and certifies Training Specialists and On the Job Trainers (OJTs).
- Partner with client groups, subject matter experts (SME's) and other training staff to design, update and deliver training as necessary to meet business needs.
- Establish, maintain, and communicate training metrics to evaluate current programs and analyze opportunities for improvements.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining the department training matrix. Build training needs and methods for each department using the site training framework across the organization.
- Utilize standardized assessment process across department(s). Create and conduct random training audit with Associates to maintain knowledge base.
- Records and maintains all necessary certifications, as per process and career block or certification requirements
- Consistently reviews certifications, training tools and training programs to determine if updates or changes need to be made to align with regulations, job duties and job requirements.
- Actively participates in new associate on-boarding training. Elicits feedback from new associates on the training experience, and identifies improvement opportunities. .
- Responsible for ensuring that training is distributed in a manner that builds succession of learning.
- Makes sure training materials and documentation aligns with our training processes.
- Responds to audit findings to ensure our documentation is accurate and compliant.
- Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous waste regulations.
- Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design or related field preferred.
- 2+ years' experience in training methods and development of training material preferred.
- 1 year experience in Manufacturing environment, required.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Solid understanding of the basics and some experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint, required.
- Solid understanding and experience with a Learning Management System, required.
- Experience planning, leading, directing, and managing projects, required.
- Demonstrated success in working with teams to solve problems, facilitating meetings, and presenting results, required.
- Ability to read, write and speak English
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in a clean room setting in production
