Training & Development Intern

Ultium Cells is a joint venture lithium-Ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solutions and General Motors. This new construction high-technology plant will have the latest battery cell manufacturing technology. The investment in this new business venture represents a commitment of more than $2.3 Billion. It will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors North American electric vehicle applications.

The Ultium cell partners include LG Energy Solutions; the world’s largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells in the world and General Motors a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around.

We are seeking Training & Development Intern candidates for the HR team at Ultium Cells battery plant in Spring Hill, TN. This position will be responsible for work that includes:

Job Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To:

1. Create training materials
2. Develop assessments that determine the extent to which learning objectives were met
3. Plan and schedule training sessions
4. Conduct workshops, individual training sessions, etc.
5. Track and keep employee attendance and training records
6. Test and review created materials
7. Conduct training through new materials
8. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1. Current Junior or Senior student in Education, Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or related field
2. Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
3. Phenomenal communication, presentation and public speaking skills
4. Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
6. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
7. Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
8. Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms
