Title: Training Analyst/Learning Experience Designer

Location: Near Surprise, AZ

Availability: 40 hours/week (normal business hours MST), anticipated starting in January 2024

Rate: $55/hour, depending on scope of work and level of experience

Who We Are

Ardent offers a small company feel, with big company results. As learning consultants, we power our clients’ workforce transformations through custom learning and performance solutions.

Our three decades of success is due to Ardent’s tenacious team who embody client services in all we do; we are driven, flexible, and highly skilled. We’re always on the lookout for innovative, curious, and passionate people who can help us continue to support our clients and achieve our goals.

And we’re growing! Currently, we’re looking for a Contract Training Analyst (1099) to join our extended team. You will be responsible for leading analytical efforts that will set direction for content development and acting as a strategic partner and technical resource for the client’s Instructional Design team.

This is a long-term contract position with a high growth, innovative global tech company. The expectation is that candidates are able to accommodate a hybrid work environment, including 3 days each week in an office location near Surprise, AZ with the other 2 days being remote. There will be occasional travel to meet with team members in another office location in Santa Clara Valley, CA. The rate for this particular role is $55/hour, which will ultimately take into account candidates' level of experience, education, and geographic location. There is not a variable compensation element associated with this role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Act as a strategic thought partner — supporting the development of journey maps, learner personas, and content mapping
  • Conduct content strategies, including content curation, to identify what content needs to be built, borrowed, or bought
  • Be acutely aware of client needs by leading consultative conversations and create L&D strategies that align to the client’s organizational goals, priorities, performance metrics and objectives
  • Be able to leverage your knowledge of learner-centered, innovative learning solutions and technology to quickly address client needs
  • Gather requirements for custom development and work with the project team to determine feasibility of the custom solution
  • Facilitate consultative discovery conversations, strategic assessments, and design thinking workshops to develop a custom fit learning roadmap focused on achieving business outcomes
  • Create, curate and recommend digital, physical and experiential learning experiences in various formats
  • Work with, assist and advise subject matter experts
  • Design evaluation programs using levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 evaluation both during learning experiences (for example, learning journeys) and post-learning, and tie learner outcomes to business objectives
  • Create design documents and storyboards as needed, as well as change management and transformational blueprints
  • Participate in peer reviews and content development discussions
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • 5 – 8 years’ experience working in client learning solutions with the proven ability to design and develop in the tech industry
  • Proven experience as a Training Analyst or Learning Experience Designer
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • Proven experience in Adobe Captivate
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Working knowledge of such collaboration tools as iWork and Confluence
  • The ability to demonstrate the relationship between effective learning and organizational performance
  • Proven experience in creating learning solutions for the modern learner, including hybrid workforces
  • Expertise working within various learning technologies
  • Experience with accessibility standards is a bonus
  • A collaborative leadership approach focused on alignment, action and accountability
  • A propensity and curiosity for innovative ideas and solutions
  • A global business mindset paired with learning industry knowledge
  • Proactive with excellent communication, project management, team leadership, client facilitation, organization, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • A high level of comfort presenting and selling your designs to various audiences
  • A client-centric approach fueled by healthy urgency and timely responsiveness to requests
  • Capable of seeing “the big picture” goals and aligning the steps necessary to get there
