LOCATION: UNITED STATES Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday: 0800-1700 (with a daily break of 60 minutes)Saturday: 0900-1300Total of 44 hours per week, with flexibility for emergent situationsSecurity Requirements:Background check/security vetting, including biometric data collection, may be required.Compliance with relevant DoD cybersecurity, privacy, and personnel security protocols.QUALIFICATIONS: Subject Matter Expertise: Possess a minimum of four (4) years of demonstrated ability in leading or training others in roles such as Nurse Case Manager, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, or within a workers' compensation claims environment.Industry Preference: Preferably, bring experience in Federal Government programs, showcasing familiarity with the nuances of Federal workers' compensation.Training and Leadership: Demonstrate a proven track record in leading or training others, emphasizing skills in creating and implementing training and competency plans.Competency Assessment: Ability to assess training needs, utilizing approved tools and materials, and implementing effective testing or measurement mechanisms for required competencies.Regulatory Understanding: Possess a comprehensive understanding of FECA regulations, policies, procedures, and processes, particularly in relation to nurse and vocational rehabilitation programs.Quality Deliverables: Contribute to the production of high-quality Training Tools: Capability to create and use training tools and materials approved by FECA, aligning them with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.Knowledge of Federal Workers' Compensation: Preferably have knowledge of Federal workers' compensation systems, policies, and procedures.Case Management Experience: Experience in nursing and/or vocational rehabilitation case management, especially in the FECA or other workers' compensation arena.FECA Policy Knowledge: Familiarity with FECA policy, procedures, and requirements, as outlined in the FECA Procedure Manual, Field Nurse Handbook, and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Handbook.RESPONSIBILITIES:Evaluates Contractor performance data to identify group and/or individual training needs on an ongoing basis.Ensure all Contractor FN/RC’s receive appropriate training when there are policy and procedural changes.Prepare and conduct corrective action training when it is determined to be necessary.Prepare and administer a FECA knowledge assessment to establish FN/RC competency prior to beginning case assignments.Organize and prepare training materials and/or educational programs for Contractor FNs and RCs, utilizing information and training materials provided by and/or approved by FECA.Works with the Contract Manager, QCA and Federal Program Managers, to determine the additional training needs on a group or individual basis. Maintain records of training activities, employee progress and program effectiveness (i.e., reduction in specific errors or omissions, adherence to guidance).Maintain and enhance training curriculum.Review existing or develop new documentation, reference guides, training manuals, and other training material as may be required, and in coordination with FECA.Maintains training records for individual employees. Provides initial and ongoing training in order to ensure quality of products provided to the Government. This includes training on:All vocational rehabilitation and/or nursing related services including, reports, plan development, expectations at each stage of assignment etc.Preparation and administration of training materials (in coordination with the FECA program as identified in 5.3 Task 2).Understanding and use of DMP and central bill pay portal, and any equivalent thereof.Compliance with OWCP Records Management policies.Compliance with Privacy Act of 1974 and all other requirements of the PWS.Compliance with timely transmittal of all materials, and destruction of all materials when assignment ends. Other specific tasks that may be added.Assesses results of sampling and rejection of reports, other work products, and/or communication with FECA to determine:Areas of group and individual training reinforcementEfficacy of training provided (improvement in product, fewer rejections)Quality of reports and work products for indications of best, most effective processes/practices, and provides suggestions for additional training.Monitors the day-to-day activities as follows:Works with the Contract Manager, QCA and Federal Program Managers, to provide training to the Contract FN/RC’s when a policy and/or procedure changes, or a significant need has been identified. The scope of the training will be identified at the time of assessment (i.e., newer staff, all staff).Responds to FN/RC inquiries on routine issues, such as procedures for reports, routine plan development requirements, timeframes for specific actions, or requirements for work products, which have already been provided to the Contractor. Refers specific case management and more technical questions to SN/RS or Federal Program Managers when additional guidance is needed for a response.Why Sanford Federal, Inc ?
