Senior Director of Human Resources
Primary Function: The job of Human Resources Fingerprint Technician was established to provide clerical and technical support for the electronic fingerprinting function.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Educational Level:
High School Diploma/GED
2. Experience:
Two years of clerical experience preferred; Fingerprint experience preferred
3. Certificates & Licenses:
Obtain GBI/GCIC Security and Integrity Certification every year as required by GCIC; GBI/GCIC Awareness review testing every year
4. Physical Activities:
Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities
5. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Written and oral communication; computer proficiency; excellent customer service; time management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Assists in scheduling fingerprint appointments for the purpose of ensuring that every employee and/or prospective employee has a criminal record check conducted.
• Assists Background Reporting Specialist with office administrative tasks for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
• Ensures identity verification and accurate documentation for fingerprint candidates for the purpose of supplying accurate information to GCIC.
• Operates fingerprinting equipment to obtain and transmit fingerprint images and accompanying data for the purpose of ensuring qualified candidates for employment.
• Assists with organizing and maintaining supplies for fingerprinting terminals for the purpose of ensuring the efficient functioning of the work unit.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding employees' criminal history and personnel records for the purpose of complying with all legal reporting requirements.
• Assists with the filing system for Employee Criminal History records and maintains compliance with the Georgia Criminal History Division (GCIC) for the purpose of ensuring proper information for auditing purposes.
• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit are met.
• Serves as backup for the Background Reporting Specialist when necessary for the purpose of ensuring the work unit functions effectively.
• Maintains a log of criminal history records information for each applicant live scanned for the purpose of complying with all legal reporting requirements.
• Maintains accurate and confidential data and records using both computerized and manual storage systems for the purpose of legal compliance.
• Type accurately into the Live Scan machine for the purpose of supplying accurate information to GCIC.
• Maintains a professional, high quality, customer-focused attitude when conducting business with internal and external customers for the purpose of meeting the needs of our customers.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient, effective functioning of the work unit.
