Responsibilities:
- Direct and control traffic at construction sites or other locations as assigned
- Set up Traffic Control signs and cones to guide vehicles and pedestrians safely
- Communicate with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to ensure safe traffic flow
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust Traffic Control measures as necessary
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and report any incidents or issues to supervisors
Skills:
- Proficient in operating operate motorized hand tools
- Knowledge of utility locating procedures to avoid damaging underground infrastructure due to 811 guidelines
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and Traffic Control diagrams
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers, drivers, and pedestrians
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate placement of Traffic Control devices
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time

Pay: $20.69 - $21.84 per hour
