Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a dedicated Traffic Control Professional to join our staff augmentation group, serving a prominent client in the Nashville, Tennessee area. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of the planning and approval processes, catering to a diverse range of projects spanning both the public and private sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Work under general direction, work independently, and be self-motivated
  •  Review and processes complex comprehensive permit applications and project design plans
  • Reading, analyzing, and interpreting engineering and construction documents and government regulations.
  • Have familiarity in reading city ordnance codes and be able to identify why permit applications plans are within or without compliance based on the city ordnance codes
  • Providing digital marks up
  • Handling multiple tasks and prioritizing a dynamic workload.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in assignments.

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience in Traffic Control and permit development
  • Due to the nature of this role, US citizenship is required.

Additional Information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Focus on Transportation during university studies
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
  • Strong working knowledge of general civil engineering and construction principles.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
