Traffic Clerk Responsibilities
A Traffic Clerk is responsible for managing a variety of tasks related to traffic management. This includes receiving / releasing orders, preparing paperwork, routing orders for LTL and T/L on time and communicating with customers and sales.
Traffic Clerk Job Summary
- Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging of outbound and inbound orders.
- Checking documents for accuracy.
- Direct communication with customers and sales.
- Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping.
- Process paperwork for inbound and outbound loads.
- Ensure that all shipping and Receiving (BOL) documents are completed accurately and on time.
- Compile and maintain records for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Notify key team members of pending, no shows and or unscheduled arrivals.
- Reschedule appointments if necessary.
- Verify Shipments.

Education
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Basic MS Excel and Outlook experience
- Verbal and written communication is required.
- 1 year of warehouse distribution experience is a plus.
- ERP experience is a plus
