Trade Compliance Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide support to the Trade Compliance Manager, with a primary focus on exports, including restricted party screening, classification requests, export declarations, review shipping documents.  The person in this position will work within the Trade Compliance team and cross-functionally across the company to ensure compliance with US Export Controls and support import program, as needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as a primary point of contact within the Business Group for export/import transactions.
• Support adherence to company Trade Compliance policies and procedures and provide guidance to company employees on a multitude of export compliance issues.
• Perform denial party screening, evaluate screening results, and escalate, as necessary.
• Perform export due diligence in the export compliance tool.
• Review and process export control holds in orders within SAP GTS or in other similar enterprise tools.
• Review shipping documents ensuring compliance with applicable export authorization.
• Support the export operation team to comply with Electronic Export Information (EEI) filing requirements.
• Assists with internal Trade Compliance audits and reviews.
• Participate in cross-functional projects with other internal business partners and Trade Compliance team members. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Location: Fort Collins, Colorado

• Environment: Work in a standard office environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR), export classification, and sanctions 
• Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy required.
• Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills with demonstrated experience managing multiple deadlines supporting regulatory requirements and business objectives. 
• Ability to assess, where necessary, the need to escalate issues to ensure a satisfactory outcome.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take accountability for decisions.

EXPERIENCE:

Required

• 4-7 years working international trade, supply chain, or export compliance functions. 

Preferred

• Experience with Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) export reports.
• Experience in working with SAP GTS or other SAP enterprise environments.
• Experience in working fast-paced, cross-functional, cross-cultural working environment.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Licensed Customs Broker is preferred

COMPENSATION: As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting.  Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.  The range of starting pay for this role is $60,000 to $75,000 per year.
