- The Tooling Specialist - will be responsible for the inventory, inspection, restocking, and maintenance of tool kits. Ensure that tooling is Safe, of good Quality, and meets company and government requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
- As the Tooling Specialist you will:
- Follow direction from tool center manager, cell leader and lead technician
- Adhere to site safety and quality expectations
- Should have strong mechanical and technical skills
- Perform a variety of inspections on tools, rigging, safety equipment and materials per work instructions and first-person instruction
- Perform functional and mechanical inspections of tool
- Ensure that all tooling, material, and containers are clean and safe
- Maintain all tools and material to ensure they meet safety and quality requirements
- Keep and maintain accurate inventory records related to count, scrap, and non-conforming tooling and materials
- Skilled at working as part of a team to complete projects
- Good computer skills, ability to use ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Safely utilize material handling equipment & techniques
- Ensure all work is performed with an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) mindset
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, including weekends and different hours than scheduled, as needed
- Ability and willingness to lift 50 pounds, as required
- Ability and willingness stand for long period of time
- Ability to work in a warehouse or industrial environment
- Ability and willingness to work in various positions, conditions and environments
- Ability and willingness to undergo background checks and tests
- Ability and willingness to undergo drug screening
