The Tooling Technician needs to have an understanding of blueprints, machine tools, measurements devices and dies. The setup and operation of manual machines such as lathes, mills drill, and surface grinders. A visual understating of the product in relationship to the die used to create ii. The use of hand tools will be large part of this job as well (e.g., die grinders, files, sandpaper). A knowledge of hydraulic and electrical components will be necessary for the installation of the dies.
