Job Description

Atlas Roofing Shingles and Underlayment is seeking an MRO Clerk for Franklin, OH.

 

MRO Clerk Primary Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety and housekeeping programs and policies to build and maintain a safe, accident-free work environment.
• Communicate daily with outside vendors to make sure all parts are ordered and delivered within the expected time.

• Communicate daily with purchasing and accounting to make sure all paperwork is being processed as expected.
• Receive parts, checking for accuracy of parts and part numbers.
• Responsible for receiving flux, sand, granule, and all 3M which includes PCON.

• Assist maintenance mechanics in obtaining needed stock parts for equipment repair.

• Identify overstocked, low usage items and obsolete inventory.
• Maintains inventory minimums and maximums for parts to parts management.
• Uses software tools to manage a variety of tasks.
• Perform data collection and reporting required for maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Purchase requisitions entry.
• Communicate with mechanics and production staff about scheduling and receipt of parts.
• Perform inventory cycle counts as necessary.
• Maintain part labeling system.
• Perform and coordinate restocking items.
• Maintains a clean and uncluttered work area and ensure parts room is clean and organized. 
• Responsible for parts inventory levels and accuracy.
• Issue tools and safety supplies as required.
• Maintain files on critical equipment, safety systems and environmental reporting.
• Works overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Coordinates with any outside contractors as to needs, parts and safety related items.
• Coordinates the preparation of parts and materials for use on particular jobs.
• Maintain accurate records as to the repair of parts by outside vendors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

 

MRO Clerk Experience

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a maintenance position and / or in a continuous process manufacturing facility.
• Experience working with maintenance and/or ERP software.

 

MRO Clerk Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Mechanical Aptitude.
• Parts Knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, PeopleSoft, Maintscape.
• Excellent technical knowledge of equipment, products, and processes.
• Self-motivated, results orientated and excellent personal skills.
• Strong knowledge in Maintenance.
• Strong knowledge/experience managing maintenance through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management system).
• Ability to drive a forklift.

 

MRO Clerk Education, Licenses & Certifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

 

MRO Clerk Additional Information

• Must be able to frequently climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time, stoop, kneel, and safely lift up to 75 lbs; use hands or fingers to handle, feel, and/or reach; and, use senses to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
• Occasionally required to work at heights.
• Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to occasionally work in wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions.
• The noise level is usually moderate.
