Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Tool room stores attendant requiring familiarity with tooling, production, and inspection equipment
- Issue tools to and receive them from production
- Keep records of receipt and issuance of tools. Inventory management and adjustments
- Visually inspect for obvious defects
- May make minor repairs to equipment or clean tools between use
- Additional duties may include:
- Assist in machine operation in each area of manufacturing
- Assist in inspection department, assembly, laser etching and packaging
- Sand blasting parts from heat treat
- Assist with deburring of machined parts
- Monthly report of perishable tools used
- Coordinating with each department, including programming and purchasing
Qualifications
- Experience with CNC mills and/or CNC lathes set up and/or operation
- Knowledge of drills, taps, end mills, miling cutters, reamers
- Ability to read and understand blue prints
- Ability to use and read micrometers and calipers
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Strong organizational skills required
- Ability to life up to 50 pounds
- Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of machine shop operations and practices
- 2+ years of shop experience or equivalent
Work Environment
- Well-lit and clean machine shop with moderate noise. Staff members will need to be able to work while standing, sitting, and bending. Staff members will be occasionally lifting.
