Summary:Assists customers with selection and purchasing of merchandise in the Gift Shop and Tolmas Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned:
- Greet customers and assist them in their selection of merchandise.
- Ring up the customers purchases on the POS system and administer change.
- Complete cash reconciliation form at end of the day.
- Restock shelves with merchandise.
- Give general information about the Garden and City Park to the public.
- Greet costumers provide outstanding customer service
- Sell admission tickets and bands, memberships and season passes, concert ticket, educational programs, photo permits, and garden gift shop merchandise
- Stock and refresh Garden gift shop and Tolmas Center merchandise
- Stock and refresh Printed information station
- Maintain inventory records and merchandise pricing on the POS system
- May be required to open and close bank
- Checks bathroom supplies daily, make sure bathrooms are stocked
- Picks up trash daily
- Cleans out garbage cans where necessary
- Identify potential safety concerns and repairs to the Garden Safety Officer
- Other duties assigned by the Tolmas Center manager

- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
