Position: Title IBilingual Families After School BookClub Facilitator
Description:
The District is seeking to replace the Robert Hunter Title I "Friends Club" with a new offering entitled Title IFamilies After School Book Club.
The program will meet once a week (either Wednesdays or Thurdays) for eight weeks and focus on kindergarten and first grade Spanish-speaking families. It will provide families with the opportunity to support their children in learning basic reading strategies to support at-home learning as well as encourage families' involvement with academics. Books, transportation, and a snack will be provided. The club will consist of a maxium of 6 families and one facilitator.
Qualifications:

• Applicants must have a valid NJ School Teaching certificate
• Experience presenting to parent audiences preferred
• Experience working with English language learners preferred
• Spanish reading and writing skills required

Compensation
Maximum 8 hours at the individual's contracted rate (1/1400) not to exceed $55.00 per hour (federally-funded program). In addition, a maximum of 2 hours will be allocated for pre-planning with a pay rate of $45.00 per hour. Non-FRSD teachers, if any, will be paid at step 1/BA hourly rate.
