Tissue Culture Lab Internship

Walters Gardens is North America's leading wholesale grower of perennial plants. As an intern, you can gain invaluable hands-on experience where you explore the entire process that surrounds our Tissue Culture Production. This process helps us grow our extensive collection of top tier perennials. Within the rotation track, you will work with some of the best and brightest in the industry. Areas of Focus:

• Motherstock & Virus Lab
• Tissue Culture Lab
• Elle Automation Room - Greenhouse Liner Tray Lines
• Greenhouse - Acclimation Growing Range

During rotational tracks there will be additional opportunities to spend time shadowing and learning in other departments.
Details:
13-week summer internships with flexible start/end dates
Full-time (40hrs/week) with half-day Fridays
Competitive pay with monthly housing stipend
Cumulative group project with other interns
Requirements
Applicants must currently be enrolled in an accredited college
Rising senior or nearing last year in program preferred
Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Biology or related fields preferred
Pay: $17.35/hour
