Inspect tires throughout vendor network to ensure tire vendors and all repair shops and facilities are following DCLI tire program specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure tire are aired to proper PSI prior to the equipment leaving the terminal/repair area
• Inspect and measure mechanic behavior, ensuring that tires are aired
• Monitor tire mounting vendors to ensure tires are mounted correctly and safely
• Ensure installation of airing decal is updated and installed and maintained
• Create/follow tracking process at each location for each chassis tire is aired to the recommended PSI
• Minimize loads out-gating, with under inflated tires
• Review retreads coming in from suppliers, ensuring tires are free from defects and quality is maintained of the finished product
• Inspect tire take offs related to damage
Qualifications
• Experience in chassis maintenance and repair a plus.
• Ability to effectively communicate company policy and procedures.
• Ability to identify problems and seek solutions.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet daily requirements.
• Interface credibly with vendors and terminal personnel.
• Ability to work with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
