TIG Welder/Fitter – Second Shift

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our team. This position is for a senior-level welder for TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum vacuum chambers, frames, and fixtures. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel or aluminum plate.

Our welders work in a clean, organized temperature-controlled shop. Our welders play an integral part in our manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

• Welding of stainless steel or aluminum plate using TIG and MIG welding techniques.
• Proficient in layout skills
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine specifications for welding projects.
• Performing quality checks on completed work to ensure the finished product meets specifications.
• Experience with manual lathes, mills, Iron Worker, metal rolls, grinding and rolling processes & Saws a plus.
• Maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to process improvements.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high level of quality.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work with our engineering team and communicate properly.
• Must have a high focus on safety and the ability to learn and follow LACO’s safety standards.
• We need a hard-working individual who is dependable and on time to work each day.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 2 years of Welding Experience

Job Details:

• Shift: 5 days/week Monday-Friday Full-Time. This position is for our Second Shift starting at 12:30 pm – 10:00 pm each day. There is also the option of a 9/80 work schedule where you will get every other Friday off.
• Pay: Hourly rate: $22.00 to $25.00 an hour depending on experience
