- Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly
- Shift: First Shift
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with all quality, safety, and work regulations.
- Comply with established safety procedures and use personal protective equipment as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints or job orders to determine specifications of the job.
- Set up materials, including stainless sheet metal, tubing, and other stainless steel forms.
- Perform tack or set up welds using a TIG welder.
- Utilize measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, machinist squares, protractors, and micrometers.
- Verify weldments conform to drawings and specifications, making corrections when necessary.
- Weld parts, components, frames, and weldments per drawings.
- Ensure seamless welds by finalizing welding with a TIG welder.
- Produce frames within required tolerances and squareness.
- Grind and polish sharp edges on workpieces as required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a TIG welder in a job shop environment.
- Expertise in welding steel or mild steel materials ranging from 1/16" up to ½".
- Effective use of grinders, saws, polishers, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to independently read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
- Operation of a bending brake press accurately.
- Accurate reading of a tape measure.
- Independent leveling and squaring of workpieces.
- Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend and rotate the body repeatedly.
- Regularly stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Frequently grasp, handle/feel objects, control/manage tools, and use hands/arms.
- Occasionally walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
