THE JOB:
As a Box/Ticket Office Supervisor, you will be responsible for show information and maintaining the ticketing systems.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Support the Manager in building, maintaining, and seeing through to fruition all shows or events inventory
- Provide knowledgeable answers to guest questions; provide detailed information regarding the property amenities and local area
- Maintain internal and external show information and outside property sales in the ticketing systems; update information on all tours, shows and other event sales
- Develop new and analyze existing procedures and special promotions that will improve guest patronage and show sales
- Assist with financial aspects of the department & settlement reports
- Generate daily reports on all events for senior leadership, management, and promoters
- Maintain a strong working relationship with other departments within MGM as well as with promoter partners
- Supervise Human Resources responsibilities for assigned department(s), create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment
- Develop and mentor hourly employees to ensure departmental standards and goals are understood and met
- Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management; notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Has experience in Box Office/ticketing, events, live entertainment in a casino setting.
- Two (2) years of previous Ticket Office experience.
- Basic knowledge of Ticketmaster, including: Archtics, TMOne and Host
- Can handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Has a flexible schedule.
