Good Stuff is not only a great thrifting location and locally-beloved store but also an internship opportunity for adults with disabilities in VistAbility's Supported Employment program.
What does a Thrift Store Manager do?:
The Thrift Store Manager plans, organizes, and supervises Thrift Store volunteers; supervises and coordinates donations and sales; oversees the maintenance and upkeep of Good Stuff.
Operations :
Opening and closing the store and cash register.
Accepting donations and pricing merchandise
Staffing:
Recruiting, screening, training, and supervision of volunteers.
Works alongside Supported Employment program to orient, train and supervise program participants
Record Keeping:
Recording of daily and monthly sales and depositing receipts in VistAbility accounts on a timely basis.
Assessing of Participants:
Instructing Supported Employment participants in tasks performed at store and evaluating their performance as to ability, quality, and length of time to complete such tasks.
Works with Supported Employment employees to ensure internship operates effectively.
Safety:
Monitoring the sales floor and work areas in order to assess any health or safety hazards and correcting any problems discovered.
Ensuring all tools and appliances used by staff and clients are in good working condition and pose no health or safety problems.
Qualifications: :
- Experience in retail management, personnel supervision, fiscal management, inventory, merchandising, documentation a plus.
- Marketing experience preferred but not required.
- High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous work experience may be substituted for educational requirements upon approval.
- The ability to independently lift and carry up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet.
Location: :Good Stuff in Antioch
Hours: :Tuesday - Saturday, 9-5 pm, 7.5 hours per day.
Compensation: :$22 per hour plus comprehensive benefits!

Our vacation accrual rates are generous!:
1st and 2nd year of employment = 2 weeks vacation a year;
3rd and 4th year of employment = 3 weeks vacation a year;
5th to 9th year of employment = 4 weeks vacation a year;
the 10th year onward = 5 weeks vacation a year.
