The Truck Unloader’s primary responsibility is unloading donated secondhand merchandise from our 16’ route trucks. The Eco Thrift Store in Sacramento typically receives 3-4 route trucks on a daily basis. The Truck Unloader position is a very physical and labor intensive. The position requires you to stand and be on your feet all day, frequent bending, and the ability to lift 50-75 pounds. The Truck Unloader position will also perform cashier related duties when not unloading trucks.
Our business model requires employees to be cross-trained in different areas of work so the daily labor demands can be met in the store. The multi-tasking aspect of this position is necessary and may require an employee to shift their individual job duties on any given day in order to meet the daily business demands.
All employees MUST be flexible and ready to work wherever needed by the manager and/or supervisor. All employees are expected to perform at or above the company’s minimum performance standards for each job they are trained to do.
This is a part-time position (20+ hours weekly). The typical schedule for this position is Monday 11:30AM - 3:30PM and Tuesday through Friday from 2:00PM - 6:00PM. You may also be required to work some holidays and/or more hours based on the needs of the business.
Employees must have dependable transportation each day because we count on our employees to work their scheduled shift.
Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the U.S.
