Thrift Store Receiving Associate and Back Up Driver

BACK UP DRIVER AND RECEIVING TEAM ASSOCIATE

Position Summary:

The Back Up Driver and receiving team associate’s primary roles is to substitute and be available during business hours to driver to pick up donation or delivery of large purchases from retail store ocassionaly. In addition they are to receive, sort, price, and stock / store merchandise. This position involves donor interaction; friendly and respectful interaction is required. Main duties include greeting donors, issuing donation receipts, sorting, pricing, and storing/stocking donations. Responsibilities include staying clean and organized and following proper donation guidelines.

Schedule:

This is a part time position, about 30-35 hours / week. Open Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm and Saturday 9am - 2pm. We offer flexible scheduling within those time frames.

Responsibilities:

• This position is the main Back Up Driver for our retail operations to pick up donations for donors residents, offices, etc.
• Greet donors, receive donations, and issue donation receipts.
• Unload donation carts regularly into their respective locations.
• Sort donations into categories and utilize disposal guidelines.
• Maintain clean and orderly working area.
• Stock shelves and racks, and mark prices on items.
• Maintain store shelves by observing displays of merchandise; tidying store shelves; providing optimum display of products.
• Maintain inventory by restocking shelves and racks with merchandise;
• Work with volunteers as needed, including special needs groups.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Must be able to operate a box truck
• Must have clean driving record
• Proper transportation to and from each assigned shift.
• Punctuality and Dependability
• Ability to stand walk and move for 4 – 8 hour shifts
• Ability to walk up and down stairs regularly
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. – 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
