- Written Exam: will be conducted on February 22, 2024
Written exam (Weighted 100%): Will be conducted for the purpose evaluating the applicant's knowledge of body structure and functions; general hygienic methods and practices; practical nursing care and procedures; procedures and equipment used in physical or occupational therapy work and good interpersonal skills.
The Human Resources Division may solely conduct an appraisal of application materials should there be an insufficient number of candidates to warrant a written examination. Should a written examination be necessary, the written examination will be weighted at 100%
Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process.
Minimum Qualifications / Employment Standards:
High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
Dependent upon assignment a valid California Class C driver's license is required at time of appointment.
Possession and maintenance of a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
Appointees not possessing the BLS card must successfully complete appropriate training and qualify for the BLS card within 60 days of employment.

Following an offer of employment, you may be required to submit to post offer medical and drug screening tests at County expense.
This examination will establish an eligible list from which immediate appointment(s) will be made. Other permanent and temporary appointments will be made as needed. Successful candidates will remain on the eligible list for a period of twelve-months, unless specified otherwise by the Civil Service Commission.
