We provide statewide leadershipof highly valued Mental Health & addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery at OhioMHAS!

We are looking for team members who will serve compassionately, contribute & collaborate, deliver quality and be accountable.


What We Do:

OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

Salary & Schedule Information for Established Term Appointment (ETA):

    • An Established Term Appointment (ETA) will have a length of appointment not to exceed ten (10) months consecutively.
    • $20.60 per hour - step increase after working 2080hrs.
    • ETAs are eligible for healthcarebenefits.
    • ETAs receive paid leave time.
    • Established Term Appointments (ETA) are scheduled to meet the needs of the hospital with no guarantee of hours, shifts or assignment location.
    • Days & Hours vary based on operational need. Shifts times are: 6:30a-3:00p, 2:30p-11:00p, 10:30p-7:00a, including weekends and holidays.

      What You Will Do:

      • Participate in the development of treatment plans.
      • Charting, documentation, records, and reporting
      • Organizing and conducting patient group activities
      • Transport of patients to off-site appointments
      • Participating in appropriate intervention

      You Also Need to Know:

      • Must be able to complete a 4 week (business days Monday-Friday) full time orientation.

Qualifications
Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary. In Department of Developmental Disabilities, must also possess a high school diploma or a certificate of high school equivalence pursuant to Chapter 5123:2-3-01(F) (1) (c).
For positions that require operation of motor vehicle to transport consumers to recreational, educational &/or occupational activities, a valid driver’s license is required.

Knowledge of J.C.A.H. (i.e., Joint Council for Accreditation of Hospitals) standards for resident care or ICF/IID (i.e., Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities) standards for resident care & Resident Review & Licensing Regulations*. Skill in operation of motor vehicle; direct care procedures (e.g., taking of vital signs, rendering of tub baths, appropriate lifting & positioning procedures, first aid). Ability to deal with problems involving several variables within familiar context; maintain accurate records; cooperate with co-workers; develop good rapport with residents &/or patients; demonstrate physical strength to lift 50-100 lbs.; read short sentences with concrete vocabulary.
