The Sous Chef, reporting to the Executive Chef, is responsible for the culinary experiences within hotel. He / she will interface with our clients and guests for the most memorable of experiences while meeting and exceeding every expectation.

The professional we seek should be a good communicator, have good leadership skills to represent the company, be proactive, loyal, reliable and hard-working. We seek to create a sense of place that will insure, inspire and motivate the overall culinary team in creating memorable moments.

Position requirements include, but not limited to;

• A degree or diploma in Culinary, Hotel Management or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
• Strong and demonstrated ability in creativity, flair and out-of-the-box thinking.
• Experience in being a driving force behind the culinary team.
• Demonstrated knowledge in both simple and complex food production and service
• Strong skills to participate as a member of the team to achieve the highest levels of performance from his/her staff
• Ability to work under pressure
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Strong attention to detail
• Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
• Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events

Highly desirable skills include;

• Experience in Luxury and / or Boutique Properties
• Experience of Dual Brands
• Experience with an independent owner / operator
• Experience with Urban Resorts
• Experience with creative food / dish development and presentation
