Here's what you'd do:
- Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment. Performs maintenance and technical support on equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer or field locations.
- Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.
- Installs, upgrades, and removes products, ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
- Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
- Provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
- The individual will work with the engineering team in troubleshooting and evaluating customer-fielded hardware at the in-plant depot.
- The candidate will perform complex maintenance tasks (rework, repair, fault isolation) on customer deliverables, electro-mechanical assets, and sub-assemblies such as modules, boards, panels, and cables.
- Assess product needs by engineering and customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determine technical solutions by product engineering documentation and customer specifications and recommend actions for coordinated product solutions.

- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 3 years solder/rework experience in the ATWS - MLD depot Area
- Minimum of 3 years experience with soldering surface mount (SMT) and through-hole components to PWBs
- Experience in supporting and interfacing with a production floor, fielding technical questions from manufacturers, inspectors, and testers
- Familiarity with depot-level maintenance procedures and repair methods
- Certified in J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721, and IPC-7095
- Ability to move between areas where additional support is required, such as testing, mechanical assembly, wiring, and soldering.
- Familiarity with digital multimeters, source measurement units, oscilloscopes, counter/timers, and arbitrary waveform generators
- Knowledge of dynamic digital IO
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills.
- Proper record-keeping of lab activities.
- Applicant should be able to interface effectively with multiple functional groups, including production, engineering, quality, and other logistics and support personnel, to achieve completion of depot operation activities.

- Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
- Ability to understand policies and procedures for the control of Government property
- Ability to understand schematics, generate rework instructions, diagnose faults, and troubleshoot all-up assemblies to the LRU level and circuit cards down to the component level.
- Trained in IPC specification J-STD-001.
- Uses microscope to verify correct part placement and orientation, manually aligns parts before soldering, and performs post-re-flow inspection and touch-up.
- Be able to read instructions and identify standard SMT components.
- Able to identify and touch up poor wetted solder joints, solder voids / insufficient solder, solder shorts/ bridges, misaligned parts/leads, components, and any out solder defects that may occur during the SMT operation.
- Ability to perform electrical measurements and analysis using a variety of tools, sizes, and test equipment (Multimeters, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzers, network analyzers, and waveform generators) to verify compliance with engineering specifications and tolerances
- Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
