Electronic Pcb Test Technician.

SUMMARY

• Perform a variety of functional test and associated operations, troubleshoot using standard techniques, and make repairs on various electronic, electrical and electromechanical units.
• Work from engineering documents, data sheets, and test procedures to carry out various testing and troubleshooting on a variety of production and customer returned material.
• Test and troubleshoot using Oscilloscopes, Frequency counters, function generators, multi meters, customer supplied functional test equipment and other related tools.
• May be required to Test and troubleshoot HIGH VOLTAGE assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Strong computer skills and background in micro-processor based products desired.Primarily responsible for performing a variety of complex functional test and associated operations including troubleshooting various printed circuit assemblies.

Responsibilities:

• Test and Troubleshoot PCBA down to component level
• Reports to designated work area prior to the start of shift. Organizes work load and prepares for start of shift.
• Fills out test reports, failure reports and other forms associated with the Test department.
• Maintains test equipment and make arrangements for calibration as necessary.
• Interface with managers, peers and customers to resolve issues with test and manufacturing.
• Ensures that work area is kept clean and safety rules are followed
• Participates in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee improvement.
• Performs functional and various testing on PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLIES
• May be required to test and troubleshoot HIGH VOLTAGE assemblies and sub-assemblies
• May conduct Hot/Cold chamber testing
• MUST HAVE Regular attendance

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Skills:
Nonessential skills and experience:
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485
- Current IPC-610/J-STD certification
Education:
High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:

• Excellent oral/written interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work from schematics, blue prints, data sheets and test procedures to carry out various testing and troubleshooting on PCA
• Ability to use basic test equipment (Oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers etc.)
• Ability to troubleshoot PCA down to component level
• Ability to identify component and component values
• Ability to follow work instructions
• Ability to work well independently and within a team
• Ability to gather and analyze information
• Strong computer proficiency: ability to learn and use ERP system and associated test programs/fixtures
• Must have previous experience in the electronic testing field specifically with PCB

Education:
Minimum one year of experience manufacturing with PCA TESTING experience
Minimum high school diploma for entry-level test technicians
