Primary Responsibilities:
- Utilize the CMM to qualify the program and ensure parts inspected are dimensionally conforming
- Follow Quality Procedures for Receiving Inspection, In-Process, Final and Source Inspection Processes to ensure compliance of part dimensions on the CMM prior to acceptance
- Select CMM measurement strategies and techniques to maximize repeatability and reproducibility of dimensional parameters
- Perform various inspections using inspection hand tools and equipment
- Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and report them
- Ability to create, develop, edit, and implement new CMM programs on complex parts
- Experience and strong programming knowledge using PC-DMIS software
Preferred Qualifications
- Brown & Sharpe CMM programming experience
- Experience with ASME Y14.5, 2009 and 2018
- Proficient using models and drawings to write programs
- Advanced GD&T knowledge and experience
- Familiarity with Smart Profile and PCDMIS
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to read & interpret detail prints and drawings
- Good mathematical 3-dimensional spatial and skills
- Ability to distinguish and differentiate contrast between colors
- Must be able to fluently read and write English
- Capable of using all required trade tools, (i.e. optical comparator, calipers, micrometers, surface profilometer, gauge blocks, pin gauge, height gages, ring gages, go/no go gages, check fixtures etc.) to inspect parts for accuracy.
- Must be able to follow instructions and work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T symbols and dimensional tolerances on drawings
Preferred Education/Experience
- 2 year or 4 year degree
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a CMM Programmer with a minimum of 8 years of experience as a Quality Inspector
