Job Description:
Test Operations Technicians will perform engineering evaluation, design validation and product or process verification testing on products or components received from internal or external customers under the guidance and direction of the Lab Manager.
Duties:

• Responsible for performing manual or automated testing in accordance with the received test request and test plan (DVP&R, ADVP&R, GMRP-1829) per STRATTEC, customer, and industry methods and specifications
• Generate detailed and accurate test reports, using photos, videos, spreadsheets, outside test reports, or other tools.
• Set up FDM, 3D Printers and test equipment in accordance with STRATTEC or customer specifications, standards, or test procedures. Test equipment includes mechanical and electrical, manual and automated.
• May use CAD to design required fixtures.
• Create lab operations method sheets
• Write purchase requisitions and/or work orders for outside testing, equipment maintenance repairs, test fixtures and general lab items, follow up on purchase/work orders to keep them on time and assure work is completed as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

• One year certificate from college or technical school; with one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Lead Technician for at least one product category and experience with more than one.Computer literacy, uses Microsoft Office Suite products to prepare reports and updates
• Ability to work with hand tools and basic machines to alter or create parts; must have mechanical aptitude to work with tools in tearing down product assemblies
• Perform basic calculations to analyze designs and solve problems
• Background in practical electronics, electronic test equipment and troubleshooting
• Troubleshoot to determine nature or cause of defects or malfunctions with tested samples, test equipment or test setup
