Purpose:
- Hill Technical Solutions, a Valkyrie company, is hiring for a Test Integration Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO
- HTS is seeking an engineer to support to a Government Program Office within Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communication (C2BMC). In this role, you will work on a small team in a dynamic environment executing a critical mission in which every team member is directly responsible for the success of program efforts. This position will support the Multi-Domain C2 program to expand capability for both Missile Defense and Space Mission Partners.
Job Description:
- Support Test Integration for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) Global (C2BMC-G) system
- Oversee prime contractor integration of software applications and hardware components that are ready for test; ensure mission critical priority functionality is tested in accordance with program plans / schedules and fielding dates
- Interface with the C2BMC-G Mission Applications Team and the prime contractor development and integration teams to ensure alignment with mission thread priorities and test schedules
- Provide guidance to support prime contractor Agile scrum team meetings and demonstrations as needed, including review of closure criteria
- Coordinate pairwise, tri-wise, and n-wise test events, etc. with other Elements or partners
- Coordinate within C2BMC and with external Elements to support field tests, coordinate scheduling of operational assets and submittal of Event Outage Worksheet (EOW)
- Support review of all test plans and associated documentation and test results
- Witness prime contractor testing and provide daily status reports to the government
- Make recommendations to the government regarding lessons learned, future test opportunity and/or mitigation plans, test observations / root cause analysis, and test objective success
- Develop test status briefs for review by the C2BMC-G Chief Engineer, Program Manager / Director, and Senior Executive Leadership in support of MDA System Level tests, Pairwise test events, and Space Partner test events
- Identify integration issues, watch items, or risks and provide risk mitigation steps, and track actions to closure
- Support Engineering Review Boards (ERB) / Integration Configuration Control Boards (ICCB) as needed
- Review and adjudicate Problem Reports (PR), Discrepancy Reports, and Change Requests (CR) to the operational or soon to be fielded system
- Support Software Independent Verification and Validation (SIV&V) planning and assessment
- Support coordination of cyber test events and deliverables as needed
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelors of Science Degree in a technical/scientific field and at least 7 years of related experience
- Must have direct experience with the MDA and its programs
- Must have experience with integration and test on missile defense-related or other complex DoD program
- Must have experience working on classified and special access programs
- Must be a self-starter, thrive in a dynamic environment, and work well with other team members, members of the Senior Executive Service and senior military officers
- Must have the ability to coordinate with both internal and external organizations to accomplish common goals
- Must have the ability to solve complex problems and track detailed information individually or as a member of a team
- Must have the ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Prefer at least 10 years of relevant DoD, MDA and/or Industry work experience with SAP and/or SCI
- Master of Science degree preferred
Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active DOD Top Secret clearance and eligible for adjudication to SCI, and the ability to maintain the clearance
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel, 10% or less
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
