Your Impact
As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a key role within the Sensors NPI and Advanced Products team. Your responsibilities will include testing and evaluating the software, firmware, hardware, and systems applications that make our products function per specification by applying automated verification procedures for developed or improved firmware/hardware monitoring devices.
The scale of the technologies we develop is very wide, ranging from application software hosted on Linux OS down to the hardware abstraction software, firmware, FPGA and finally HW. This role will interact with R&D and manufacturing engineers, field service, and support team globally.
In this role, you will use, update, modify or design test automation tools for product improvements testing. You will work closely with a team of developers and designers who use Agile development Methods and the Scrum Framework to deliver critical, customer facing solutions for the Utilities and Industrial sectors.
Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:
- Develop, design, implement, automate, and document formal test plans and procedures using tools.
- Record test results, generate/update known issues database and review results validity with Product Specialist.
- Investigate issues and lead Root Cause Corrective Action investigations and document corrective actions to ensure defect is resolved.
- Test and record any non-compliance in JIRA and ensure all the features, issues and tests are documented in compliance with our internal processes.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or computer science discipline is required.
- 3+ years of Test Automation experience with testing software, firmware, and hardware.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python or similar).
- Experience designing and qualifying test fixtures during development phase.
- Knowledge with test instrumentation (i.e., temperature, flow, pressure, low voltage analog, function generators, scopes)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in industry protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet systems, protocol analyzers, and industry SCADA practices.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum framework.
- Hands on development of prototypes and testing
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning approaches for software testing.

National: The salary range for this position is $63000 - $117000
Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
