Title: Test Engineer
Location: Melville, NY USA
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 Annually
Description:
Our Client is looking for a Test Engineer with knowledge of aerospace industry test standards. This includes EMI testing such as radiated and conducted emissions and susceptibility, pin injection, electrical power quality and transients, as well as environmental tests such as temperature, shock, and vibration.
Responsibilities:
- Craft comprehensive test plans and procedures adhering to esteemed standards such as RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461.
- Define the requisite support equipment essential for test execution, ranging from wiring harnesses to instrumentation.
- Execute tests meticulously and methodically, evaluating results with precision.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to present coherent findings to both customers and management.
- Maintain transparent communication channels with Engineering and Program Managers regarding testing progress and outcomes.
- Coordinate test schedules and witness testing in collaboration with customers and external test facilities.
- Oversee tests conducted at external laboratories and ensure adherence to protocols.
- Generate comprehensive test reports encapsulating findings and recommendations.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in the field.

Physical Requirements:
- Long periods of desk work involving computer usage.
- Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be required.
- Ability to navigate production facilities as necessary.
