Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test plans
- Create detailed test cases based on project specifications, ensuring complete coverage of functional and non-functional requirements
- Execute test cases manually and, when applicable, automate test scripts using testing tools and frameworks
- Identify and report defects, issues, and inconsistencies in a timely and clear manner, including detailed documentation and reproduction steps
- Perform regression testing to ensure that previously identified issues have been resolved and that new changes do not introduce new problems
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test results
- Configure and maintain test environments, ensuring they are representative of production systems
- Collaborate with development teams to understand the technical aspects of the product and provide feedback on design for testability
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Poly
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in software testing, including test planning, test case design, and execution
- Familiarity with testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit)
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISTQB or other relevant software testing certifications
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby) for test automation
- Experience with performance testing and security testing
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
