- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
- Assistance with special projects
- Seasonal work
- Emergencies

Essential Functions
- Field work: collect water samples and conduct water quality analysis using meters (pH, sp. cond, temp, DO, and velocity)
- Field work may include other environmental assessment tasks (potentially related to soils, microbes, pathogens, and vegetation quantification)
- Lab work: process water samples in laboratory for fecal content, E. coli and total suspended solids
- Data collection, entry, and keeping
- Assist in distribution of samples to other lab locations as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Capable of working in both outdoor and laboratory settings
- Comfortable driving long distances
Desired Qualifications
- Prior field and/or research experience in a field of study related to Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Wildlife Management, or related Biological Sciences
- The abilities to collaborate, communicate well, be punctual and organized
- Outdoorsmanship and ability to work in SE heat and humidity
